  These are about the Into Infinity/Day After Tomorrow novelisation.
• Aid for Andromeda/Madonna on the Rocks (623KB)
  This is the first chapter and a half of the manuscript. The rest is lost somewhere!
• Locust Years (1,002KB)
  This is the original first typescript of Locust Years with the final hand-written amendments.
  *This is one of the texts (the other is Android Planet) which contains that marvellous phrase: 'All Lombard Street to a china orange.' It means 'Heavy Odds', as a china orange would find in the wealth of that famous London street.
• Door of Hope (1,112KB)
  This is the original Typescript of Door of Hope. It is unique in that it is the only piece of writing by DRM/Rankine in the 1st person voice.
• Continuity Sheet (118KB)
  This is the continuity sheet c.1968 used for 'The Plantos Affair (illusion)'. It was set out on A3 squared paper.
• Ideas Bank (684KB)
  This is John Rankine's Space 1999 Ideas Bank for the Second Series. Completed in May 1975.
• Synopsis (492KB)
  This is a synopsis for a novel for the Space 1999 Second Series. Completed April 1975.
• The Craft of Writing (407KB)
  These are fully worked notes for lectures given in the 80's and 90's. They explain how he began writing and give insight into the writing process with examples from his novels.
